Many senior travelers are accustomed to sneaking leftovers from restaurants back to their hotel rooms for free late-night snacks. It also happens on cruise ships for moonlight bites on deck or munchees in their cabins.
However, Norwegian has now forbidden doggy bagging on its ships. The reason is that uncontrolled food spoilage may be a contributing factor to seaborne illnesses that spread quickly among passengers and crew. Because we too frequently see news of such unfortunate happenings at sea, we can understand the Norwegian policy.

As you become a very seasoned senior, it’s inevitable that your physical condition will require assistance when you travel.
Gone will be those days of running through airports to get from sidewalk to board your flight. Even if you can still walk unaided, the distances will become just too much to handle on foot. You’ll then opt to use a wheelchair to help getting to and from your flights in comfort and on schedule.
When you’ll need that wheelchair on your travels, here are suggestions on how to make your air journey more comfortable and less troublesome.
Book In Advance: Schedule a wheelchair to be at the airport entrance when you arrive for your flight. An employee then takes over and makes sure you get to security. Even when the area is crowded, your wheelchair may get you through the departing flight gate with priority boarding.

Guest Senior Scribbler: We recently drove from Princeton to Los Angeles, with two senior drivers sharing. We did the 2,700 miles in 60 hours, via I-40, I-70 and I-66, a fair accomplishment for age 70+ roadies. Here are some tips that may help other seniors who may decide to give it a go.
Common Sense: For many, those words are all they need. We drove in four-hour shifts each, and used the back seat for stretching out when not at the wheel. No matter how awake you feel or how you want to keep on schedule, drivers, especially seniors, regular rest breaks and naps on long road treks are vital.
