Survey: USA Today Ranks Top 30 Airports In The USA

We always appreciate the interesting travel articles we see daily in the prestigious news source. However, we must voice an opinion on the above pronouncement.

We find the list quite believable, but only under perfect conditions. There’s no such heavenly place as a top airport unless you’re a flight-bound pro athlete or crooked politician with unlimited millions of bucks.

Senior Adventurers: National Parks for Glamping PDF Print E-mail

Glamping = glamor camping. It’s for those who like to enjoy the outdoors with some comforts added to the usual spartan conditions. For example, instead of simple canvas shelters with sleeping bags, glampers prefer tents with screened openings. They enjoy sleeping on inflatable mattresses and pillows. Consider some glamping favorite destinations:

Venice, Italy: No Tourist Roller Bags On Streets PDF Print E-mail

If a wheeled carry-on or suitcase will be with you when you arrive in Venice, make sure you don’t break the law! Tourists and other visitors are no longer permitted to drag wheeled bags along the city’s ancient streets and bridges.

According to the Venice City Council, they cause too much damage to the fragile thousand-year-old paving stones and steps. So, if Venice is on your bucket list, lug a backpack, fanny bag and anything else that won’t rut the streets. Offenders could be fined $600 or more.

Incidentally, the law is a bit discriminatory. It does not apply to local merchants and workers who regularly schlepp through the city’s stone streets with metal-wheeled carts and other heavy vehicles.
