Morro Rock State Park is off the California Pacific coast near Morro Bay and San Luis Obispo, 200 miles north of Los Angeles. Visitors go to surf, swim, fish, bike, hike and beach picnic, but it’s illegal to climb the Rock. Natural life on and around the rock includes seagulls, falcons, herons, sea lions, otters and surfers.
