Tombstone, AZ: Fun Memories of the Old West PDF Print E-mail


The Old Western town of Tombstone is just an hour’s drive south of Tucson. If you grew up watching cowboy movies and TV shows, Tombstone is a familiar name. There were the oft-told legends of Boot Hill, Wyatt Earp and the famed gunfight at the OK Corral.

Many movies are about the 1884 incident. A favorite is the 1957 epic, "Gunfight at the OK Corral", starring Kirk Douglas and Burt Lancaster. John Ford also adopted the story for his film, “My Darling Clementine”, in 1946, starring Henry Fonda and Victor Mature. Another was “Tombstone”, starring Kurt Russell and Kevin Costner in 1993.
