Outrigger offers extra perks for Hawaii travelers PDF Print E-mail
Two beachfront Outrigger hotels in Waikiki, Hawaii, have enhanced their bundle of free amenities and services, offering even more value to their guests.

Complimentary bottled water and a cool towel upon arrival are among the newest additions to the Fee Free Escape program at the Outrigger Waikiki on the Beach and the Outrigger Reef on the Beach. Plus, with the recent re-opening of the Outrigger Reef's newly remodeled Pacific Tower, more guest rooms and suites now come with free high-speed Internet access and free direct dial local and long-distance phone calls to the U.S. Mainland and Canada.

"Many of our first-time guests are surprised when they learn that we don't charge a mandatory resort fee, and that they get quite a few free amenities with their room reservation," said Roy Cordeiro, director of sales and marketing for both properties.

In addition to the welcome amenities and free Internet and phone access, the Fee Free Escape program comes with complimentary wireless Internet access in the lobby and pool area; use of in-room safe; use of on-site fitness center; daily local newspaper; Postcards from Paradise (with complimentary mailing if you drop them off at the front desk); daily cultural activities; and a romantic, twice-weekly Hawaiian Vow Renewal ceremony on the beach. The vow renewal program, open to guests staying at either property, is one of the hotels' most popular: more than 4,000 couples have renewed their vows in this culturally rich program since it was introduced in 2003.

In addition to all of the Fee Free Escape amenities, guests can also take advantage of other freebies and conveniences available to Outrigger guests including:

Family benefits: No additional charge for children 17 years and younger sharing accommodations with parents in existing beds or for children up to 2 years old in crib.

Children ages 5 to 10 years staying a minimum of three nights receive Outrigger's complimentary Island Explorer Kit, a colorful backpack filled with an activity guide and other fun kid-friendly treats.

Introduction to surfing: Free land surfing lesson on Waikiki Beach for beginners interested in learning the fundamentals of surfing.

Hawaiian Airlines Kiosk: Guests flying on Hawaiian Airlines can check in for their return flight and receive boarding passes at this convenient, free-to-use kiosk in the lobbies of both hotels.

Added conveniences include a UPS store in the Outrigger Waikiki lobby where you can arrange to ship packages home, and a new Hertz rental car desk at the Outrigger Reef.
