Woodstock NY: Chicken Out At The Guesthouse B&B PDF Print E-mail

Can you recall a personal Woodstock experience of 45 years ago? Tho your shortened hair may be a bit more grey and your waistline a bit more expanded, lingering memories of those wild days and nights may make you feel young again.

Consider a return trip to the beautiful rural area just 100 miles north of New York City, this time to The Guesthouse at the Woodstock Farm Animal Sanctuary. Instead of experiencing guitar music and hippie wails, you’ll roam and hear lyrical calls of rescued chickens, cows, pigs, goats, sheep and a donkey. The Sanctuary B&B is 23 acres of dedicated to the care of hundreds of abandoned farm animals. If you want to help, pitch (fork) in for feeding and cleaning during the work day. Then you’ll get well-deserved night’s rest in the 19th-century farmhouse, in one of its four comfy bedrooms, with adjoining common kitchen and living area.

Rates are from $90 a night, and include vegan, organic breakfast. When you stay, you’ll be aiding a good cause. Income from guests is for care of the rescue critters. WFAS, 39 Van Wagner Rd., Willow NY 12495, woodstocksanctuary.org
