West Hollywood CA: Cannabis Café Welcomes Puffers & Diners

If your travels take you to movie star city, you’ll want to stroll the Walk of Fame, cruise trendy Beverly Hills and bask among the palm trees. With pot now legal in California, you may also opt to relax with a marijuana cigarette and enjoy lunch at the nearby newly-opened Lowell Café on North LaBrea Avenue.

A friendly staff of budtenders greet customers with menu selections of buds, joints, and other cannabis products. There’s also a tasty menu of delicious foods and scheduled entertainment. Enjoy the Lowell Café rooftop lounge. And always remember that it’s only legal to smoke marijuana in enclosed areas. www.lamag.com/digestblog/lowell-farms-cannabis-cafe

Virgin Islands, USA: VolunTourism With Furry Friends PDF Print E-mail

The no-kill Animal Care Center of St. John takes in victims of cruelty, neglect and abuse of the island's dogs and cats. If your upcoming vacation plans include a visit to tropical St. John, give some of your time to help with the center's VolunTourism program.

You can participate in feeding, walking, grooming, training or just cuddling with some of the center’s homeless inhabitants. Shelter officials report that many visitors come to volunteer, and then find they can’t leave without taking a new furry friend home with them.
