Southwest Airlines: Now Non-stop Boston-Nashville

Elvis would say, “Thank ya, thank ya ver’ much!”

Southwest Airlines just started a once-a-day non-stop service between Boston MA and Nashville TN. For the local airport, Metropolitan Nashville (BNA), it’s currently the only major airline non-stop between the two cities.

Southwest's other non-stop routes from Boston Logan (BOS) include Baltimore/Washington Thurgood Marshall (BWI), Chicago Midway (MDW), Denver, Phoenix Sky Harbor (PHX) and Lambert St. Louis (STL).

The latest terrorist bombings around the world are incentive for more intrusive security restrictions on passengers seeking to board flights. The Department of Homeland Security is using advanced face-scanning tech in airports to be better at stopping potential terrorists before they can cause damage.

Use of the equipment has caused political backlash because of Big Brother similarities, and some legislators are asking for imposing restrictions on the more intrusive security measures.
