Would You Sign To Sail Aboard New Titanic II in 2022?

Seniors are among the most avid cruise passengers. We enjoy the luxury of moonlit nights at sea, fine dining, colorful port visits and other amenities of sailing. However, we’ve all read history books about the disaster of 1912 when the original Titanic sank, and seeing scary movies that portrayed the tragedy.

We’re hearing about the Titanic II now under construction in Jiangsu, China, and scheduled to sail 110 years after the original ship sank. Not many of us consider ourselves as lucky as the Unsinkable Molly Brown, so we can just wonder how successful the new Blue Line cruise company will be in signing up passengers.

Go But No Go For First Civilian Space Passengers PDF Print E-mail

If you’re a venturous senior and and sign up to ride the first civilian outer space vehicle when it’s scheduled to fly in 2018, be warned. The company, Blue Origin, states that the ship, New Shepard, will have no toilet facilities aboard.

Ground preps and the space ride are expected to take about 40 minutes for the adventure. However, passengers will be required to take care of any private bathroom needs before boarding. Additionally, because the trip includes bumps and at least several minutes of weightlessness, something similar to seasickness could strike some passengers. They’ll be warned to skip the trip, because there will also be no facilities for barfing aboard.

Also, the fee for the ride could be as much as $250,000 per passenger. So if that lofty figure makes you sick, you may reconsider becoming an elder spaceman or woman.
