Disney Cruise Line: Virtual Portholes In Cabins


Remember when you first started cruising decades ago? With a limited budget, your cabin was small and the only view you had was during daytime through that small, round porthole. All you could see was the sea. If you were in an inside cabin, you saw nothing.

Now, with ever-advancing technology, even the lowest inside cabins on cruise ships could offer more enjoyable porthole views. Of course, the scenes are digital, and portray fascinating video of soaring clouds, high mountains, stately sailing ships and sandy beaches.

Now on some, there are animated cartoon and movie characters. Passengers on Disney’s Dream and Fantasy ships will now enjoy inside what they fantasize about picturesque happenings outside.

The experimental aircraft recently completed of round-the-world flight. It was propelled strictly by the sun’s power, with no need for fossil or other types of today's expensive and volatile fuel.

While solar-powered commercial aircraft are still decades into the future, consider the advantages when it happens. With no dependence on the price-manipulated oil industry, passenger fees should be considerably lower.

Aboard the quiet aircraft, the experience will feel like a sailing schooner in the sky, with the design of a luxury cruise ship. The interior will be roomy for strolling passengers and gatherings, rather than today’s required stuffing everyone into a tight seat during flight.
