According to a recent survey, at least 60% of travelers who’ve tried an airbnb experience are planning to do it again. They now prefer the home rental to staying in traditional hotels.

In your travels, you may have slept in a posh hotel room that once was occupied by visiting royalty, generals, admirals and business tycoons. Of course, you paid $500 and up for the privilege sleeping in the bed.

You could bring a group of friends to stay in what was once the Palm Springs, California, mansion of major movie icon Liz Taylor. And pay just $625 a night for a total of four bedrooms. That’s about @156.25 each. Also included is a pool, spa, dining room, living room, kitchen and much more.

You may opt to airbnb at the former Liz house just to experience the old glamor, or make it a family reunion or other special occasion. It could be fun to schedule a wedding there, considering Liz married nine times during her celebrity lifetime.
