The Doctors Report Illness Tracker says this year’s spread of the disease will be one of the worst in many years. The report further lists big cities are where the heaviest outbreaks are happening. They include downtown areas in San Francisco, Washington DC, New York, Miami and Boston.

If winter and springtime travels take you to heavily-populated cities in the US and elsewhere around the world, take precautions to keep you off the sick list. Whenever possible this season, avoid spending less time in the most crowded locations.

They include busy airports, subway stations, city transportation, busy restaurants and large retail stores. Carry a kit with disposable dry and soapy wet wipes, face mask and cold medicines.
