Another way to learn about each other is to arrange the first-date evening to be a double date. Go to dinner, and later to a concert or evening river cruise with mutual friends. Observe how your new date relates to people.

Keep up with the senior social scene involving scheduled dances at churches, hotels, senior communities and other locations. Invite your first-time date to be your guest at one of them..

Attend a stage play at your local college or high school. Show support for education and the creativity of the up-and-coming generation. If there are professional theaters in your area, take your first-time date to a Broadway-style musical revival from an earlier era.

After several dates, and you’re comfortable with each other, suggest a shared vacation. One of the most convenient is a single seniors only cruise. That way, you can not only get to know each other better after days and evenings together. You’ll feel comfortable with many other single seniors sharing the same experience.
