Amsterdam, Holland: Be There At Tulip Blossom Time PDF Print E-mail

If you can ignore all the panic about coronavirus and get there, Amsterdam is an attractive city to wander at any time of year, but early spring is the most colorful. There are the canals, small bridges, tiny houses stacked up tall and skinny, and everyone riding on bicycles.

Surrounding the city are many flower farms and tulip fields. Ride the bus for a half hour trip to Keukenhof Gardens, to visit colorful springtime scenes of seven million flowers. Tulips are expected to be in full bloom on March 30. The Gardens are only open for two months, this year from March 21 to May 10, daily from 8 am to 7:30 pm. Ticket prices are about $20, $7 for kids 4 to 17.
